To kick start the borough's 150th anniversary year, we were invited by Heart of Glass to be the first ever after-dinner performers at St Helens Civic Dinner. We like to think of it as an exceedingly graceful debut into the world of after-dinner speaking. There were some jokes, a quiz and our pal Steph played a Steinway accompanied by 150 local dignitaries on the kazoo (which we'd spent the afternoon sellotaping under all the tables). The whole thing was just... elegant.
